Gemma Mackenzie

Gemma was born and raised in the Byron Shire and has recently returned after living both interstate and overseas for many years. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing emotional challenges including grief, depression and frustration, anxiety, life transitions/adjustment (including the perinatal period, or settling in a new location), and trauma (especially from sexual assault). She is particularly interested in exploring what contributes one’s sense of contentment and life meaning by focusing on the therapeutic relationship and exploring deeper questions to promote self awareness and generate long lasting, enriching and purposeful changes.
